GoGuides

History of GoGuides

GoGuides is a directory which came from the defunct Disney Go network. In October of 2003 GoGuides had a falling out among its leaders. 3 of the 5 leaders voted to move the site to Skaffe the other two leaders continue to build the site. At the end of 2003 GoGuides went up for auction, but the original owner did not have the heart to sell the directory. His assistant was granted a copy of the data and hosts it's directory at Web Beacon.

GoGuides backfills it's directory search results with pay per click ads from it's Links2Go subsidiary.

GoGuides is one of the top dozen directories on the net. GoGuides has a pleasant interface and few (if any) ugly, intrusive advertisements. GoGuides also has a community feel and look about them. You can submit your URL for consideration in the GoGuide directory free of charge if you become an editor. If you would like to help build the GoGuides directory feel free to find a category you know much about and submit to become a GoGuide.

GoGuides Website Inclusion

Submission for category editors is free of charge. It does not appear that their current software is allowing more editors to sign up right now. Paid submission to GoGuides is a one time $39.99 fee. In addition GoGuides offers a submission specialist program which allows instant submission of websites to the GoGuide directory for a monthly fee.
